산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 실시한 책임경영 평가결과를 바탕으로 동일하거나 유사한 산업에 속한 기업 및 기관의 WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI)를 비교·분석하여 제공하는 평가분석정보이다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings provide evaluation and analytical information based on Responsible Management evaluation results conducted by SEC (Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission), comparing and analyzing the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) of corporations and institutions within the same or similar industries.

 

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 개별 조직의 WFSRI를 산업적 맥락에서 살펴봄으로써 해당 조직의 상대적 위치와 책임경영의 주요 특성 및 차이를 보다 체계적으로 이해할 수 있도록 한다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings place an individual organization’s WFSRI within an industry context, enabling a more systematic understanding of its relative position and key Responsible Management characteristics and differences.

 

 

 

Ⅰ. 산업별 WFSRI Ranking의 목적

I. Purpose of Industry WFSRI Rankings

 

 

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 단순히 조직의 순위를 제시하는 데 목적을 두지 않는다. 동일하거나 유사한 산업에 속한 조직의 WFSRI와 관련 평가결과를 비교·분석함으로써 개별 조직의 책임경영 수준과 상대적 위치를 산업적 맥락에서 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings are not intended merely to present organizational rankings. Their purpose is to compare and analyze the WFSRI and related evaluation results of organizations within the same or similar industries and examine each organization’s level of Responsible Management and relative position within an industry context.

 

이를 통해 산업별 책임경영의 주요 특성과 조직 간 차이, 지속가능성, 장기 가치창출 및 미래변화에 대한 대응 등에 관한 평가분석정보를 제공한다.

 

Through this process, the Rankings provide evaluation and analytical information on key Responsible Management characteristics by industry, differences among organizations, Sustainability, long-term value creation, and responses to future change.

 

 

 

Ⅱ. 분석대상과 비교기준

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 SEC 평가대상 가운데 산업 및 사업특성 등을 고려하여 실질적인 비교가 가능한 기업 및 기관을 중심으로 구성한다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings are constructed primarily from corporations and institutions subject to SEC evaluation for which meaningful comparison is possible, taking into account industry and operational characteristics.

 

구체적인 비교대상의 설정에는 「동종업계 비교분석」에서 정한 비교분석 원칙을 적용하며, 동일한 산업분류에 속하더라도 사업구조와 주요 활동, 조직의 기능 및 운영환경 등에 따라 비교대상을 구분할 수 있다.

 

The establishment of specific peer groups follows the comparative analysis principles set out under “Peer Group Comparative Analysis.” Even where organizations fall within the same industry classification, peer groups may be differentiated according to business structure, principal activities, organizational functions, and operating environment.

 

공공기관은 기관의 기능과 공공서비스의 성격, 사업 및 운영특성 등을 고려하여 실질적으로 비교 가능한 기관을 중심으로 분석한다.

 

Public institutions are analyzed primarily among substantively comparable institutions, taking into account their functions, the nature of public services, and operational characteristics.

 

구체적인 분석대상 산업과 기관의 범위는 해당 산업별 WFSRI Ranking 또는 평가분석 결과를 공개할 때 함께 제시한다.

 

The specific industries and organizations included in an analysis are presented when the relevant Industry WFSRI Rankings or evaluation analysis results are disclosed.

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 WFSRI와 그 기반이 되는 책임경영 평가결과를 바탕으로 조직의 책임경영을 종합적인 관점에서 분석한다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings analyze organizational Responsible Management from a comprehensive perspective based on the WFSRI and the underlying Responsible Management evaluation results.

 

분석에서는 조직의 현재 성과뿐만 아니라 지속가능한 발전을 위한 역량, 미래변화에 대한 대응, 책임 있는 가치창출, 혁신역량 및 지속적인 개선 등을 함께 살펴본다.

 

The analysis considers not only current organizational performance but also capabilities for Sustainable Development, responses to future change, responsible value creation, Innovation Capability, and continuous improvement.

 

또한 개별 조직의 WFSRI와 관련 평가결과를 동종업계의 결과와 비교하여 산업 내 상대적인 위치와 주요 특성, 조직 간 차이 및 산업에서 나타나는 주요 경향 등을 분석한다.

 

The analysis also compares an organization’s WFSRI and related evaluation results with those of its peers to examine relative position within the industry, key characteristics, differences among organizations, and major industry patterns.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. WFSRI Ranking의 해석

IV. Interpretation of WFSRI Rankings

 

 

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 동일하거나 유사한 산업 내에서 조직의 WFSRI와 책임경영의 상대적 위치를 이해하기 위한 평가분석정보이다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings are evaluation and analytical information intended to support understanding of an organization’s WFSRI and relative Responsible Management position within the same or similar industry.

 

Ranking의 순위만으로 조직의 책임경영 전체나 기업가치, 투자매력도 또는 미래 경쟁력을 단정하지 않는다. 산업의 특성과 비교대상의 구성, 조직의 역할과 특성 및 관련 평가결과를 함께 고려하여 해석할 필요가 있다.

 

Ranking position alone does not determine an organization’s overall Responsible Management, corporate value, investment attractiveness, or Future Competitiveness. Rankings need to be interpreted together with industry characteristics, peer group composition, organizational roles and characteristics, and related evaluation results.

 

또한 산업별 WFSRI Ranking과 SEC WFSRI Rating은 서로 관련되어 있으나 동일한 개념이 아니다. Ranking은 비교대상 내 상대적 위치를 나타내는 평가분석정보이며, Rating은 정해진 등급기준과 절차에 따라 평가결과를 등급으로 나타내는 평가제도이다.

 

Industry WFSRI Rankings and the SEC WFSRI Rating are related but distinct concepts. Rankings provide evaluation and analytical information on relative position within a peer group, whereas the Rating is an evaluation system that expresses evaluation results as Ratings in accordance with established rating criteria and procedures.

산업별 ESG Ranking과 산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 각각의 평가결과를 바탕으로 산업 내 조직의 상대적인 위치와 특성을 살펴보기 위한 평가분석정보이다.

 

Industry ESG Rankings and Industry WFSRI Rankings are forms of evaluation and analytical information used to examine the relative position and characteristics of organizations within an industry based on their respective evaluation results.

 

두 Ranking은 서로 대체하는 관계가 아니며, 각각의 평가관점과 결과를 통해 조직과 산업을 서로 다른 측면에서 살펴볼 수 있도록 한다.

 

The two Rankings do not replace one another. Each provides a different perspective through which organizations and industries may be examined based on its respective evaluation approach and results.

 

ESG 평가결과와 WFSRI 평가결과 사이의 관계와 차이를 종합적으로 살펴보는 분석은 「ESG·WFSRI 비교분석」에서 별도로 제시한다.

SEC는 평가결과의 공정성·객관성·투명성 및 신뢰성을 고려하여 공개 가능한 범위에서 산업별 WFSRI Ranking과 관련 평가분석정보를 제공한다.

 

SEC provides Industry WFSRI Rankings and related evaluation and analytical information within the scope appropriate for public disclosure, taking into account the Fairness, Objectivity, Transparency, and Reliability of Evaluation.

 

평가분석 결과를 공개할 때에는 이용자가 해당 정보를 적절하게 이해할 수 있도록 분석대상의 범위와 비교기준, 분석시점 및 필요한 설명정보를 함께 제시한다.

 

When evaluation analysis results are disclosed, SEC provides the scope of organizations analyzed, comparison criteria, analysis period, and other necessary explanatory information so that users can appropriately understand the information.

 

세부 평가기법과 판단기준, 점수·배점 및 가중치, 산출방식과 내부 검증기준 등은 평가의 독립성·공정성·객관성 및 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 필요한 범위에서 관리한다.

 

Specific evaluation techniques, judgment criteria, scores and point allocations, weights, calculation methods, and internal verification standards are managed to the extent necessary to safeguard the Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, and Reliability of Evaluation.

Industry WFSRI Rankings may be used by corporations and public institutions as a reference for understanding their Responsible Management evaluation results and relative position within the same or similar industries and for reviewing the current state and future direction of Responsible Management.

 

또한 투자자와 소비자·이용자, 협력사, 연구기관 및 기타 이해관계자가 조직과 산업의 책임경영과 지속가능성 등을 이해하는 데 참고할 수 있는 평가분석정보를 제공한다.

 

They also provide evaluation and analytical information that investors, consumers and users, business partners, research institutions, and other stakeholders may use as a reference in understanding the Responsible Management and Sustainability of organizations and industries.

 

산업별 WFSRI Ranking은 특정 조직에 대한 투자·거래·구매 또는 기타 의사결정을 직접 권고하거나 대신하기 위한 것이 아니며, 각 이용자가 자신의 목적과 판단기준에 따라 활용할 수 있는 참고정보로 제공된다.
