1. SEC 핵심가치지표의 개요

SEC 핵심가치지표(SEC Core Value Indicators, CVIs)는 SEC 평가지표 체계(SEC Indicator System)를 구성하는 159개 세부평가지표(Detailed Evaluation Indicators) 가운데 책임경영의 핵심가치와 조직의 중대한 영향 및 책임, 지속가능성과 미래 대응역량을 보다 심층적으로 살펴보기 위하여 선정된 50개의 핵심지표이다.

 

The SEC Core Value Indicators (CVIs) comprise 50 core indicators selected from among the 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators of the SEC Indicator System to provide deeper assessment of the core values of Responsible Management, significant organizational impacts and responsibilities, Sustainability, and Future Readiness.

 

50개 SEC 핵심가치지표는 159개 세부평가지표와 별도로 추가되는 지표체계가 아니며, 세부평가지표의 평가결과를 사후적으로 통합하여 새롭게 도출되는 별도의 지표도 아니다.

 

The 50 SEC Core Value Indicators do not constitute an additional indicator system separate from the 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators, nor are they separate indicators subsequently generated by integrating the results of the Detailed Evaluation Indicators.

 

즉, SEC 평가지표 체계는 총 159개 세부평가지표로 구성되며, 50개 CVIs는 그 159개 세부평가지표 가운데 선정된 핵심지표이다.

 

In other words, the SEC Indicator System consists of a total of 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators, and the 50 CVIs are core indicators selected from among those 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators.

 

 

 

2. 핵심가치지표의 설정 목적과 역할

2. Purpose and Role of the Core Value Indicators

 

 

SEC 평가지표 체계는 159개 세부평가지표를 통하여 조직의 책임경영 전반을 체계적으로 평가한다. 그 가운데 50개 SEC 핵심가치지표는 책임경영의 핵심가치와 조직의 중대한 영향 및 책임을 보다 심층적으로 살펴보는 역할을 한다.

 

The SEC Indicator System systematically evaluates organizational Responsible Management through the 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators. Within this structure, the 50 SEC Core Value Indicators provide deeper examination of core Responsible Management values and significant organizational impacts and responsibilities.

 

조직의 책임경영은 현재의 성과뿐만 아니라 의사결정과 활동이 사람과 환경, 사회, 이해관계자와 공동체 및 미래세대에 미치는 영향과 그에 상응하는 책임을 함께 고려할 필요가 있다.

 

Organizational Responsible Management requires consideration not only of present performance but also of the impacts of decisions and activities on people, the environment, society, stakeholders, communities, and Future Generations, together with responsibilities corresponding to those impacts.

 

또한 기후변화와 환경위험, 사회구조와 이해관계자 관계의 변화, AI·디지털 전환, 새로운 기술과 산업의 발전, 공급망과 가치사슬의 변화 및 미래·신흥 위험 등은 조직에 요구되는 책임의 범위와 성격을 지속적으로 변화시킬 수 있다.

 

Climate change and environmental risks, changes in social structures and stakeholder relationships, AI and digital transformation, the development of new technologies and industries, changes in supply chains and value chains, and future and emerging risks may continuously reshape the scope and nature of organizational responsibility.

 

이에 SEC 핵심가치지표는 전체 평가지표 체계 안에서 핵심적인 책임가치와 중대한 영향, 장기적인 지속가능성 및 미래 변화에 대한 대응역량을 보다 심층적으로 분석하기 위한 평가요소로 활용된다.

 

Accordingly, the SEC Core Value Indicators serve as evaluation elements for deeper analysis of core responsibility values, significant impacts, long-term Sustainability, and organizational capacity to respond to future change within the overall Indicator System.

 

 

 

3. 159개 세부평가지표와의 관계

3. Relationship with the 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators

159개 세부평가지표 전체가 SEC 평가의 공식적인 평가단위를 구성하며, CVI로 선정되지 않은 세부평가지표 역시 각 평가영역의 평가목적을 구현하는 중요한 평가요소이다.

 

All 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators constitute the official units of assessment within SEC evaluation, and Detailed Evaluation Indicators not selected as CVIs likewise serve important roles in fulfilling the objectives of their respective evaluation areas.

 

따라서 CVI로 선정되었다는 사실만으로 해당 세부평가지표의 절대적인 중요도나 개별 평가결과가 결정되는 것은 아니며, CVI가 아닌 세부평가지표의 평가적 중요성이 낮다는 것을 의미하지도 않는다.

 

Accordingly, selection as a CVI does not by itself determine the absolute importance or individual evaluation result of a Detailed Evaluation Indicator, nor does the absence of CVI designation mean that another Detailed Evaluation Indicator is of lesser evaluative importance.

 

또한 50개 CVI가 전체 159개 세부평가지표에서 차지하는 수적 비율 자체가 평가결과에서의 가중치나 점수비중을 의미하는 것은 아니다.

 

In addition, the numerical proportion of the 50 CVIs within the 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators does not in itself represent their weighting or scoring proportion in the evaluation results.

 

 

4. 평가에서의 적용과 분석

4. Application and Analysis in Evaluation

 

 

SEC 핵심가치지표는 해당 세부평가지표와 동일한 SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology), SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework) 및 관련 평가기준(Evaluation Criteria)에 따라 평가한다.

 

The SEC Core Value Indicators are assessed in accordance with the same SEC Evaluation Methodology, SEC Evaluation Framework, and applicable Evaluation Criteria as the corresponding Detailed Evaluation Indicators.

 

핵심가치지표는 조직이 책임경영의 핵심가치를 선언하고 있는지 여부만을 살펴보기 위한 지표가 아니다. 객관적으로 확인 가능한 자료를 바탕으로 관련 가치와 책임이 실제 정책과 제도, 의사결정, 운영과 실행, 성과와 영향에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지를 보다 심층적으로 분석한다.

 

The Core Value Indicators are not intended merely to examine whether an organization declares the core values of Responsible Management. Based on objectively verifiable information, they provide deeper analysis of how relevant values and responsibilities are reflected in actual policies and systems, decision-making, operations and implementation, performance, and impacts.

 

또한 현재 확인되는 성과뿐만 아니라 조직의 의사결정과 활동에서 발생하거나 발생할 수 있는 중대한 영향과 위험, 이를 예방·완화하기 위한 노력, 장기적인 지속가능성, 미래세대에 대한 책임 및 미래 변화에 대한 대응역량 등을 함께 살펴본다.

 

In addition to currently observed performance, the CVIs consider significant impacts and risks arising or potentially arising from organizational decisions and activities, efforts to prevent and mitigate them, long-term Sustainability, responsibility toward Future Generations, and capacity to respond to future change.

 

핵심가치지표 역시 제6장에서 설명한 세부평가지표의 공통 적용원칙에 따라 적용한다. 따라서 CVI로 선정되었다는 사실만으로 모든 평가대상에 해당 지표를 기계적으로 동일하게 적용하지 않으며, 평가대상의 실제 기능과 활동, 영향과 위험, 이해관계자 관계 및 해당 지표의 실질적 관련성과 적용가능성을 고려한다.

 

The Core Value Indicators are also applied in accordance with the common application principles for Detailed Evaluation Indicators described in Chapter VI. Accordingly, designation as a CVI does not mean that an indicator is mechanically applied in an identical manner to every evaluation subject; the actual functions and activities of the evaluation subject, impacts and risks, stakeholder relationships, and the substantive relevance and applicability of the indicator are taken into account.

 

핵심가치지표의 평가결과는 특정 CVI만을 독립적으로 분리하여 해석하지 않으며, 전체 159개 세부평가지표의 평가결과와 연계하여 종합적으로 분석한다.

The results of the Core Value Indicators are not interpreted by isolating particular CVIs but are comprehensively analyzed in connection with the results of the full set of 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators.

 

 

5. WFSRI와의 연계

5. Linkage with the WFSRI

 

 

50개 SEC 핵심가치지표는 책임경영의 핵심가치와 주요 평가요소가 평가결과에 실질적으로 반영될 수 있도록 SEC 평가방법론에 따라 평가에 적용한다.

 

The 50 SEC Core Value Indicators are applied in accordance with the SEC Evaluation Methodology to ensure that the core values and principal elements of Responsible Management are meaningfully reflected in the evaluation results.

 

핵심가치지표의 평가결과는 전체 159개 세부평가지표의 평가결과와 함께 종합적으로 분석되며 WFSRI 산출에 연계된다. CVIs가 WFSRI와 별도로 독립적인 종합지수를 산출하는 것은 아니다.

 

The results of the Core Value Indicators are comprehensively analyzed together with the results of the full set of 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators and are linked to the derivation of the WFSRI. The CVIs do not generate a separate comprehensive index independent of the WFSRI.

 

평가결과의 종합과 WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI)의 산출에 관한 구체적인 사항은 제8장에서 설명한다.

 

The integration of evaluation results and the derivation of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) are explained in Chapter VIII.

 

 

6. SEC 핵심가치지표의 공개원칙

6. Disclosure Principles for the SEC Core Value Indicators

 

 

SEC는 평가체계에 대한 이해와 투명성을 높이기 위하여 SEC 평가지표 체계가 총 159개 세부평가지표로 구성되며, 그 가운데 50개가 SEC 핵심가치지표(CVIs)로 선정된다는 기본적인 구조를 공개한다.

 

To enhance understanding and Transparency of the Evaluation Framework, SEC discloses the fundamental structure that the SEC Indicator System comprises a total of 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators, among which 50 are selected as SEC Core Value Indicators (CVIs).

 

다만 50개 SEC 핵심가치지표의 개별 번호·명칭·세부내용·구체적인 구성 및 선정내역은 평가의 독립성·공정성·객관성 및 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 비공개를 원칙으로 하며, 평가 수행에 필요한 범위에서 제한적으로 관리·공유한다.

 

However, the individual numbers, names, detailed content, specific composition, and selection details of the 50 SEC Core Value Indicators are maintained as non-public information in order to safeguard the Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, and Reliability of the evaluation and are managed and shared on a restricted basis to the extent necessary for conducting the evaluation.

 

핵심가치지표의 구체적인 선정기준과 지표별 선정내역 역시 동일한 원칙에 따라 비공개를 원칙으로 한다.

 

The specific selection criteria and indicator-level selection details of the Core Value Indicators are likewise maintained as non-public information in accordance with the same principle.

 

159개 세부평가지표 전체에 관한 공개범위와 세부 평가기준·판단기준·가중치·산출방식·내부 조정기준 및 기타 구체적인 평가기법의 비공개 원칙은 제6장에서 설명한 기준을 적용한다.

 

The scope of disclosure for the full set of 159 Detailed Evaluation Indicators and the non-disclosure principles applicable to detailed Evaluation Criteria, judgment standards, weights, calculation methods, internal adjustment standards, and other specific evaluation techniques follow the standards explained in Chapter VI.

 

이러한 비공개 원칙은 평가체계의 투명성을 제한하기 위한 것이 아니라, 평가기준의 자의적 이용이나 평가과정에 대한 부당한 개입을 방지하고 평가의 독립성·공정성·객관성 및 신뢰성을 보호하기 위한 것이다.

 

This principle of non-disclosure is not intended to reduce the Transparency of the Evaluation Framework, but to prevent arbitrary use of Evaluation Criteria or improper interference in the evaluation process and to protect the Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, and Reliability of evaluation.

 

SEC 핵심가치지표의 구성은 SEC 평가체계와 평가지표 체계의 발전 및 책임경영 환경의 변화를 반영하여 정해진 절차에 따라 검토·관리하며, 주요 개정사항은 관련 운영원칙에 따라 관리한다.

 

The composition of the SEC Core Value Indicators is reviewed and managed in accordance with established procedures to reflect the development of the SEC Evaluation Framework and Indicator System and changes in the Responsible Management environment, with material revisions managed in accordance with applicable operational principles.
